Pallet delivery of concrete products from Romania: quotation, site preparation and receiving the goods
Concrete products are heavy and may require pallet transport, so delivery from our factory in Bacău, Romania is quoted for each order rather than taken from a rate card. Here is how it works, from quotation to unloading.
How cost and lead time are set
Ristone organises delivery according to quantity, product weight, number of pallets and destination. You receive the transport cost and conditions before you confirm the order, separately from the products.
The lead time is confirmed after checking availability, quantity and production capacity. Products in stock can have a different lead time from products made for your order, and preparation and transport time are added. If anything could change the agreed date, Ristone tells you in advance, with an updated date.
United Kingdom: transport, customs duties and import VAT are paid by the buyer. Ask your customs broker or carrier what they need from you before the goods ship.
Small orders and top-ups
There is no single minimum for all products. For small quantities, Ristone looks at delivery options that fit the order, depending on the product, packing, weight and transport cost, and quotes packing and transport separately.
For a later top-up, keep the model and colour from your invoice; small shade differences between production batches are possible.
Preparing the site
Unloading conditions, truck access and any extra services depend on the carrier. To avoid surprises on the day, tell us from the start:
- the full delivery address and an access landmark;
- whether a large truck can get in and where it can stop;
- who receives the goods, with a phone number;
- whether you have lifting equipment on site or need the carrier to unload;
- where the pallets will stand: on level, firm ground, away from traffic.
Receiving the goods
On arrival:
- count the pallets and boxes and compare them with the transport documents;
- check the packaging and the pieces you can see;
- if anything is damaged or missing, photograph it and note it on the transport documents before you sign;
- tell Ristone as soon as possible, with the photos.
Ristone assesses each case and agrees a solution: topping up the quantity, replacing damaged pieces or another fix, depending on the cause and responsibilities. Thin plates (around 7–10 mm), including brick slips and stone cladding, can crack during handling and transport. Check the pieces on receipt, photograph any damage, note it on the transport documents and report it to Ristone. Each case is assessed individually and the solution is decided according to the cause. Any reserve quantity is confirmed in the quotation.
