Cookie policy

In short
The Ristone site works without cookies. We use cookies only for statistics, and only if you accept them in the banner on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser, so that it can recognise the same browser on a later visit. Some sites also use “local storage”, which works in a similar way.
What we use without your consent
These set no cookies and do not identify you:
| What | Why | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Day/night preference | remembers whether you chose day or night mode | local storage in your browser |
| Your cookie choice | remembers what you chose in the banner, so we don’t ask on every page | local storage in your browser |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | counts visits and pages, without cookies | at Cloudflare, aggregated |
| Ahrefs Web Analytics | counts visits and traffic sources, without cookies | at Ahrefs, aggregated |
What we use only if you accept
Google Analytics 4
Shows us which pages are read, where visitors come from and how many quote requests are sent. Provider: Google Ireland Limited.
| Cookie | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
_ga | 2 years | distinguishes users |
_ga_<ID> | 2 years | persists session state |
Source: Google, Google Analytics cookie usage.
Microsoft Clarity
Shows us where visitors click and where they get stuck on a page, so we can improve it. Form fields are masked, so what you type in them is not included in recordings. Provider: Microsoft Corporation.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose, according to Microsoft |
|---|---|---|
_clck | first-party | persists the Clarity user ID and preferences, unique to this site |
_clsk | first-party | connects several page views into a single session |
CLID | third-party | identifies the first time Clarity saw this browser on any site using Clarity |
ANONCHK | third-party | indicates whether MUID is transferred to an advertising cookie; Clarity does not use it, so it is always 0 |
MR | third-party | indicates whether to refresh MUID |
MUID | third-party | identifies browsers visiting Microsoft sites; used for advertising, analytics and other operational purposes |
SM | third-party | synchronises MUID across Microsoft domains |
Microsoft does not publish the cookie durations on that page; you can see them in your browser’s site settings.

How to change your choice
- from “Cookie settings” in the site footer: the banner opens again and you can change your choice;
- from your browser settings, where you can delete cookies already saved or block them.
If you decline or withdraw consent, the site works the same, including the enquiry form.

The WhatsApp button and the Google Maps link take you to Meta and Google services, which have their own cookie rules.
