Concrete brick slips: choose the format, corners and shade for your wall

Start a brick slip comparison with the wall detail you need to solve. On an entrance pier, the external corners may decide the model. On a long wall, the course proportions matter. Over external insulation, the permitted finish weight must be established first. Colour samples come alongside these checks.

Oxford, Berlin, Belgrad and Ribe are concrete brick slips. The comparison below uses the existing Ristone sheets and calculations from the recorded box weights and counts. Ask for the current sheet and supply details before ordering.

Compare format and thickness

ModelFlat faceThicknessApproximate slips/m² with a 10 mm jointListed corner option
Oxford C69240 × 73 mm13 mm48No corner listed
Berlin C84240 × 65 mm10 mm53No corner listed
Belgrad C60245 × 65 mm15 mm52C60M, monocomponent
Ribe C05285 × 60 mm15 mm48C05B, bicomponent

The slips-per-square-metre figures describe a 10 mm joint layout, not confirmed box coverage. Oxford’s current pieces per box and m² per box are unconfirmed: request confirmation in the quotation before ordering.

Oxford has the tallest face here, so it produces fewer courses across the same height. Berlin and Belgrad have similar face heights. Ribe is longer and lower, giving a more horizontal course proportion. Check how the courses meet sills and coping before settling the layout.

Resolve the corner detail

Belgrad’s C60M is a monocomponent corner, one L-shaped piece, listed as 70 / 175 × 65 mm. Ribe’s C05B is bicomponent, assembled from two pieces, listed as 100 × 60 / 180 × 60 mm. The slash follows the sheet’s return or component notation; it is not a cutting instruction.

Oxford and Berlin have no corner piece listed. Ask how the junction will be finished for those models before ordering them for piers. Use the brick slip corner guide to prepare the corner schedule separately from flat wall areas.

Compare weight for the actual wall

The recorded product data gives approximate calculated cladding weights of 14.7 kg/m² for Berlin, 16.5 kg/m² for Oxford, 17.5 kg/m² for Ribe and about 23 kg/m² for Belgrad, using historical box weights and counts with a 10 mm joint layout. These exclude adhesive and jointing material. Oxford’s result depends on historical packaging that remains unconfirmed; Belgrad’s recorded box count varies from 52 to 54 pieces.

Treat these figures as comparison data, not an installation approval or a current order quantity. Confirm the selected sheet and the wall’s permitted load. For external insulation, start with the system documentation; see the manufactured stone specification guide.

Thickness also changes finished dimensions at sills, door openings and pier caps. Include both slip and adhesive build-up when checking the detail.

Compare the real shades

All four models list Alb Glaciar and Grafit, described in English as glacier white and graphite. Keep the original shade name in the enquiry to identify the product. Other listed options are:

  • Crem (cream): Oxford, Berlin and Belgrad.
  • Rustic Antichizat: Oxford.
  • Clasic: Berlin.
  • Industrial: Ribe.

The colour is pigmented through the concrete. The real shade may differ from a photograph, and small batch differences are possible. Compare samples in daylight and request the complete quantity for a surface together.

Turn the shortlist into an order enquiry

For many exposed corners, compare Belgrad and Ribe with their specified corner components. For a permitted lighter finish, Berlin is the lightest of these four in the recorded calculation, but the substrate still needs confirmation. For longer, lower courses, consider Ribe; for taller faces, compare Oxford.

Send the preferred models, net wall areas, openings, external corner heights, substrate, shade, joint width, destination and timing. The quantity guide separates area and box calculations.

Thin pieces can crack during handling or transport. Inspect on receipt, photograph damage, record it on the transport documents and notify Ristone. Any extra allowance is agreed in the quotation; each damage case is assessed individually.

Browse the concrete brick slip range or compare Oxford, Berlin, Belgrad and Ribe, then request samples and a quotation.

Before you order.

Which of these brick slip models have corners?

Belgrad lists the one-piece C60M corner. Ribe lists the two-piece C05B corner. Oxford and Berlin have no corner listed; agree the detail before ordering.

Which of the four models is lightest?

Berlin is approximately 14.7 kg/m² with a 10 mm joint in the recorded calculation, excluding adhesive and jointing material. Confirm the current sheet and suitability for the actual substrate.

Is Oxford box coverage confirmed?

No. The current pieces per box and m² per box remain unconfirmed. Request confirmed box coverage in the quotation before ordering.

Can I select graphite from a screen?

Use a physical sample. All four list Grafit, but texture affects its appearance and the real shade may differ from photographs.
